I utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address issues of Depression to help with things such as cognitive distortions, negative thinking patterns and negative self-talk. I also use Solution-Focused Therapy to address immediate issues going on in your life that may be making you depressed as an episode. I have a great deal of experience working with depression over the last 10 years of my career and CBT is the most commonly use treatment modality. I work with both children and adults.

We will also challenge negative thinking patterns and perception distortions. I have an extensive wealth of knowledge dealing with anxiety as I've had trainings on how to combat anxiety both in children and adults.
I utilize Play Therapy & Expressive Art Therapy to work with children as young as 4 y/o to work on a variety of issues from ADHD/ADD, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, bullying, school issues, behavioral issues and sibling conflicts. We work on ways to cope and develop healthy strategies to empower the child to begin the healing process. Kids are more equip to deal with their struggles after Play Therapy because it relates to them where they are.

I utilize art to work with you on a variety of different emotions that might be more difficult to talk about. Are allows you to express how you are feeling in ways that words sometimes can't capture. You don't have to be a good artist to do art therapy. I'm not certified as a Art Therapist but I use a great deal of techniques from that schooling to help my patients with their depression and anxiety to better understand where they are in their pain and how to cope.
