About My Clients
I've spent most of my career working with children ages 4+ through young adults in college as well as working with women's issues. I work with blended families on struggles as well as doing sibling therapy. I treat anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, behavioral issues, mood dysregulation, adjustment, stress related issues, work issues, school issues, family therapy and suicidal children.
My Background and Approach
I have over 10 years experience working with children and families and I utilize a variety of treatment modalities depending on what the patient needs. I use Art Therapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Anger Management (for kids only), Client-Centered, Experiential, and Motivational Interviewing. I've worked in non-profit most of my career doing home based therapy, residential treatment and runaway shelters so I have extensive experience working with a variety of issues in children and teens and young adults.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a big advocate for animal rescue and volunteer for a rescue out of Lorain, Ohio where I am an application processor (where I approve perspective adoptions) and a freedom rider (rescuing dogs from pounds and hoarding situations) and love the work that I do there. I'm also a volunteer currently on hiatus with the American Red Cross as a Disaster Relief Worker but did some work during 9/11 in NYC. I am very passionate about my work with helping others and that translates into my work with my patients. I am a capable therapist who loves working with children, teens and young adults.
