About My Clients
Are you seeking support with self-acceptance, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and coping with life transitions? Are you navigating parenthood and seeking assistance with releasing some steam, developing self-compassion and fostering a stronger connection with your child? Does your child need support with regulating emotions or finding stability? I create spaces for people to connect with the many dimensions of who they are. I integrate brain/body practices with talk therapy.
My Background and Approach
I see my clients through a holistic lens, and I use a relational, attachment and trauma informed approach. My background of over 20 years of experience guiding dance/movement therapy, yoga therapy, Brain Dance, and Reiki informs my therapeutic work. As a former dancer, I am attuned to the mind-body connection, and one of my gifts is helping clients translate their internal physical and energetic cues to support healing and acceptance. I bring years of life experience to serving my community as a trusted guide and healing presence. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, including parents, families, and children, as well as people with issues related to trauma, substance use, and aging. I also work with curiosity and an anti-oppressive lens, having experience working on creating and guiding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging practices within non-profit settings. I am very collaborative, committed to starting where my clients are, and gently moving toward wholeness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the power of presence and breath to help each of us find our own inner healing and guide. I am a lover of art, artists and creativity. One of my favorite things to do is teaching dance to preschoolers! It gives me so much joy. I am amazed by how our bodies and nervous systems constantly give us information to support us on our journeys. I am a supporter of animal rescues, and I help raise money and awareness to support different rescue shelters near and far. I have a sweet doggy rescue from Hurricane Dorian.
