About My Clients
I specialize in a few different areas including Infertility, IVF, Pregnancy, PostPartum and Anxiety/Depression. I also work with women looking to change or optimize their careers.
My Background and Approach
My approach with clients is warm, supportive, non-judgmental and down to earth. I tailor my approach to each individual client based on therapeutic needs. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives and I am here to help them explore their feelings and work to reach their goals in whatever way suits them best. I have an LPCC license from the state of CO and work with clients via telehealth across the state. I have a BA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University in Peoria IL. For Couples- I am certified in the Gottman Method (1) and utilize their professional relationship assessment with all couples.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I became a therapist after struggling with my own infertility for 8 years. The pain and frustration I experienced during those years was sometimes almost too much to bear and I wanted other women struggling with infertility to have the type of counseling that I didn’t have access to while I was struggling. I believe every client has a unique set of strengths that can help them reach their goals and help them manage through the hard times. I work with clients to identify and recognize those strengths and help them understand how to utilize their own strengths to build resilience.
