About My Clients
I work primarily with LGBTQ+ adults, lesbian and gay individuals, and queer couples navigating identity, connection, anxiety, grief, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are looking for a therapist who understands their experience without having to explain it first. Whether you're processing a major life transition, working through relationship conflict, or simply want a space that feels safe and affirming, I'd love to help you find your way forward.
My Background and Approach
My goal as a therapist is to facilitate a process of self-awareness. I've learned that self-awareness is a natural agent of change — the self-aware person always has choices, and can make decisions grounded in authenticity, without guilt, shame, or resentment. I bring over 30 years of clinical experience, including serving as Clinical Director at a domestic violence shelter, to my work with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples in Los Angeles. I draw on psychodynamic, CBT, existential, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring my style to what actually helps you — not a one-size-fits-all method. Asking for help is never easy. But I encourage you to reach out. I'll partner with you on the path toward introspection, compassion, and — a little bit of humor along the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a lesbian therapist, and I'm an active member of and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. I believe therapy works best when you don't have to explain the basics of who you are before getting to the real work — my practice is built to be a space where you can show up fully as yourself.
