About My Clients
Do you feel like you’re carrying more than you let the world see? On the outside, you may look composed, responsible, even strong, but inside, anxiety feels constant, depression feels heavy, or past experiences still echo in ways you can’t ignore. Maybe your mind rarely slows down. Maybe your body feels tense, on edge, or exhausted from holding everything together. Or maybe you’ve become so used to surviving that you don’t remember what it feels like to truly feel safe.
My Background and Approach
The tools I provide are ones I’ve refined through years of working with children, teens, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and overwhelming emotions. My goal is for you to leave therapy with practical strategies you can carry anywhere to regulate your body, shift unhelpful thoughts, and feel grounded. I use CBT, DBT, insight-oriented work, Motivational Interviewing, and creative approaches like music, writing, and art to address both immediate challenges and deeper patterns shaped by past experiences, because what has happened before often continues to influence how we feel and respond today. We’ll work collaboratively, focusing on what is happening now, learning to respond to your emotions rather than be controlled by them, exploring how earlier experiences may shape your present, and building coping tools that create relief, resilience, and self-understanding. I am compassionate, direct when needed, and committed to creating a safe space for growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve faced challenges in my own life that have helped me understand how difficult it can be to navigate tough moments, and I bring that experience into my work with empathy and understanding. I believe that everyone has the ability to grow and change, and with the right support, things can improve. Creativity is a big part of my life through music, writing, and art, and I often bring it into my work when it can help. I care deeply about social justice and actively support causes including the LGBTQIA+ community, the Black Lives Matter movement, and individuals who experience homelessness, as well as efforts to increase access to mental health services. I believe in treating everyone with respect and without judgment.
