About My Clients
I specialize in working with couples and non traditional relationships, relationship problems, the LGBTQ+ community, people going through life changes, stage of life adjustment, stress, and anxiety. I see couples, individuals, groups, and families. I value diversity and inclusion, where I enjoy working with a varied population.
My Background and Approach
Relationships can be complicated, challenging, fulfilling, and rewarding all at once. My role is to help you navigate these relationships in a way that makes sense for you. I am a non-pathologizing therapist, meaning I believe people are not defined by the problem they are struggling with. For me it is an honor to be invited into someone’s life story and to be trusted to help create their desired change. I understand that people have varied experiences and come in with different goals/expectations. It is my job to meet someone where they are, and to work collaboratively at their pace. Personally I see people as neither ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ but simply as doing their best in each situation given the context of their own experiences and the situation they find themselves in. From a more practical standpoint, I practice from a variety of modalities including Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and CBT.
