Accepting Clients

Hi, I’m Juliana. I’m a therapist who believes that everyone deserves a space to slow down, feel seen, and reconnect with themselves.

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Trumbull, CT
Supervised by Allison Golfis, LMFT

About My Clients

I’m especially drawn to working with adults or kids who are in a season of change—new parents, individuals adjusting to relocation or cultural shifts, people in recovery, and those exploring their identity or values. I also enjoy supporting highly sensitive people (HSPs), those who feel overwhelmed by emotion, and anyone who wants to deepen their self-awareness.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Health Science. My clinical experience includes work in residential substance use treatment, individual therapy, and group facilitation focused on skills like emotion regulation, self-care, and relapse prevention. My therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Mindfulness-Based practices. For clients, this means learning practical tools that build psychological flexibility, reduce avoidance, and strengthen compassion for yourself. My background growing up across different countries and cultures also supports a culturally sensitive and client-centered lens—one that honors both your unique story and our shared humanity.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

At the heart of my work is the belief that people heal in the context of connection and authenticity. I’m deeply committed to making mental health care more accessible and reducing the shame that often surrounds seeking help. I care about spaces that uplift women, immigrants, caregivers, and anyone who has felt unheard or overwhelmed by life’s demands. Outside the therapy room, I find grounding through yoga, hiking, and creative outlets like embroidery. I’m also passionate about supporting new and expecting parents, whole-person wellness, and approaches to mental health that honor both science and humanity. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and real—therapy with me is a place where your full, messy, honest self is welcome.
