About My Clients

I specialize in working with people who are experiencing challenges related to identity, relationships, trauma, and transitions. Many of my clients identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and I offer affirming treatment to trans and gender diverse individuals. I work with individuals ages 8 and above, groups, families, and partners.

My Background and Approach

I have over fifteen years of experience working with young people in a variety of therapeutic, educational, and recreational settings. I believe that most people experience both their deepest pain and their greatest joy within the contexts of relationships. As such, I use a relational approach to therapy in which I am guided by my connections with my clients and our shared understandings of what they need in order to heal. My background includes specific training in Adventure Therapy (AT), which is a modality that uses experiential activities to promote self-reflection, emotion regulation skill building, and social development. An AT session might include a walk in the woods, a problem-solving initiative in the office, building a campfire in a park, mindfulness practice while sitting by a lake, or even engaging in experiential activities through a virtual platform. In addition to Adventure Therapy, I also have experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Internal Family Systems.
