My Background and Approach

We can focus on the stuff you do want to change in your life such as your frustration and anxiety with others, your depression, or your communication skills to name a few. We can also explore what being a neurodiverse individual means for you, your relationship with gaming, or challenges associated with working in the tech industry. My approach to therapy is client-centered, relational, trauma-informed, and balances identifying thoughts and emotions. In session I will provide challenging questions that might allow us to explore deeper connections in your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Maybe you’ve gotten some eyebrow raises from previous mental health professionals (or anyone) about going to burns, cons, LAN parties, or updating your DeviantArt page 3 times a day. Not any longer- you’re in good hands! I’ll follow your lead on what makes sense to talk about in session that you've identified as your stuck points. I believe everyone deserves to feel safe, and that everyone is empowered to only change the parts of themselves that are causing distress. Authenticity is always the flavor of the week! I also work at SAFE Alliance and volunteer at Capital Area Counseling. Personally I am in the roller derby community, an artist, a gamer, a graphic novel and movie enthusiast, and I love puzzles.
