About My Clients
My work focuses on supporting adults with anxiety/depression, ADHD/executive functioning support, navigating difficult life transitions, building healthy relationships with others and with oneself. I especially love working with adults recently diagnosed with ADHD (or who may suspect they have it), are working through codependency or other boundary issues, are struggling with anxiety/stress management, or all of the above.
My Background and Approach
I emphasize a collaborative approach in my practice: you are the expert of your own experience. I tend to bring a human approach to my work and frequently use humor in my sessions. I also fully endorse the concept that the therapeutic relationship itself has a great capacity for healing-- my goal is for you to always feel safe, held and prioritized in our work together. I tend to use a person-centered, attachment-focused, psychoanalytic lens, and utilize coping/emotional regulation skills development, CBT and mindfulness-centered interventions where appropriate. I completed my MA in Mental Health Counseling at Boston College, and I received clinical training at both The Academy for Physical and Social Development in Newton, MA, and at the Jeremiah E. Burke public high school in Boston, MA. I have also previously worked at Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care in Seattle, WA, where I treated a wide variety of demographics and diagnoses, and I have been in private practice since 2020.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can be heavy, overwhelming, or stressful (or all of the above) and we all need support at times. I strongly believe in the human capacity for healing and growth. My goal is to ultimately help my clients discover, enhance and align with their own strengths, self-compassion, and values, while building new skills and self-understanding. As a clinician who has personal experience with ADHD, I am acutely aware of the strengths and challenges of this diagnosis and the need for support around it-- especially if you have received a diagnosis later in life. Additionally, I am LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity affirming, intersectional feminism aligned, and racial and political justice allied. I encourage my clients to give honest feedback, to disagree with me when needed, and above all, to bring your authentic self to session. I'm excited to meet you!
