About My Clients
My clients tend to be one or more of these: 1. Neurodivergent: Autistic/ADHD or both! Often late-diagnosed- and the subsequent unmasking, burnout, meltdowns, or lifetime of being undiagnosed processing that might need to occur. 2. Experiencing deconstruction or religious/spiritual/cult trauma. 3. An adult child of abusive/emotionally immature parents. Often processing boundaries to put in place, up to (or including history of) estrangement.
My Background and Approach
My hope for each client is to help them feel a greater sense of agency, autonomy, power, and control over their lives. We are living in an uncertain world, and my years of training, experience, and education have taught me that no one lives in a vacuum. There are some things we can't fix, and some things we can. I have many tools, thoughts, and space to listen for both.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
While I belong to several marginalized groups, I present as a white, cis, het, middle class woman. I enjoy an epic amount of privilege because of these external markers. I continue ongoing work towards anti-racism, anti-oppression personally, and also recognize that even being involved in the medical complex is an ongoing battle with classism, access, and privilege. I am an active member of my queer community. I believe that sex work is work. I believe that prison is institutionalized slavery. I feel like this gives a general idea of myself as a human.
