About My Clients
I specialize in helping teens, young adults, and couples through life experiences that can bring on anxiety and depression. I also work with new parents helping them navigate all the dynamics of parenthood. I can also help provide support with grief, loss, trauma, and loneliness. Lastly, my education is in family dynamics and relationships which allows me to help those managing any familial stress.
My Background and Approach
My initial goal is to create a strong relationship with each client to build trust and understanding, so everyone can feel the comfort and validation they need. I want to help you build the life you want and feel as fulfilled and complete as possible. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions to help individuals build awareness, communication, and coping skills and attachment theory to better understand your needs as a human. I accept Optum (United, Oscar & Oxford), Aetna and Cigna insurances.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have always had great compassion for our human race, and throughout my educational years, I have enjoyed studying our behaviors, motivations, and thought processes. I enjoy watching others mature and grow, and I am most happy when I am able to help others, help themselves. I recognize that everyone has their own perspectives and view clients as the expert on their lives. I never judge anyone's experience or need, in certain moments and view my role to be unconditionally validating while also helping clients challenge their inherent boundaries and beliefs. I believe we are all shaped by our childhood and young adult experiences in society. However, with growth and age, we can alter these assumptions and patterns in order to develop into the person we want. I truly believe everyone deserves to feel and exist as the person they want- whatever that may mean. I want to help others get to that point. We all deserve to feel complete as often as possible.
