About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating grief from death, divorce, estrangement, chronic illness, or major life transitions. My ideal clients are those feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected as they process loss. Whether you’re experiencing fresh heartbreak or long-standing sorrow, I provide a compassionate, structured space to express emotions, find clarity, and rebuild. You don’t have to do this alone—I’ll meet you where you are.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and certified grief specialist, I bring over a decade of experience helping clients move through deep loss, trauma, and major life changes. I’m trained in Brainspotting, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and the Grief Recovery Method, blending these with mindfulness, self-compassion, and cognitive strategies. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and paced to your readiness. I believe that grief is not something to “fix,” but something to gently explore, express, and transform. Whether we meet for weekly sessions or intensives, you’ll have a supportive space to unpack what feels heavy and reconnect with purpose. At The Grief Refuge, PLLC, healing is honored—not rushed.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My Christian faith is the foundation of both my life and my counseling work. I believe God meets us in our sorrow, offering comfort, healing, and restoration. At The Grief Refuge, PLLC, I provide space for all forms of grief—whether from death, trauma, estrangement, caregiving, or life transitions—while honoring each person's unique story and spiritual path. I offer individual therapy, couples counseling, healing intensives, and faith-informed grief retreats that support emotional, relational, and spiritual healing. I also understand the layered grief of parenting a neurodivergent child and welcome families navigating similar journeys. While I offer a faith-based lens to those who desire it, I serve people from all backgrounds with compassion and respect. I advocate for mental health access, trauma-informed care, and inclusive healing spaces where no one has to grieve alone.
