About My Clients
I work best with clients who struggle with issues like anxiety, depression, academic stress, life transitions, trauma, relationship problems, and more. I help clients explore the life they want to be living and then work towards achieving that with talk therapy including challenging my clients while still using a non-judgemental and caring approach.
My Background and Approach
Approaches I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify unhelpful thoughts and change them to empowering and helpful. I also use Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Person Centered, DBT Informed Therapy, communication skills, Psychodynamic, and more. I tailor my approach to fit the unique client needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy unhelpful/harsh thoughts about ourselves and the world can create mental health struggles. In challenging and changing automatic/repetitive thoughts from harmful to helpful, we can start to feel better. I believe Mindfulness is also key to gaining awareness of our thoughts and gaining more control of our thoughts. So many people struggle with feeling like they are not in control of their mind. Using Mindfulness practices helps immensely to feel in control of our mind.
