About My Clients
My ideal clients are adults struggling with rejection sensitivity, attachment anxiety, or relationship patterns from early experiences. You might repeat dynamics, fear rejection, or struggle to trust that others care. You've tried therapy before but felt something was missing. You're ready to understand why these patterns developed and go deeper for real change. I work with individuals, couples, and families across diverse backgrounds and identities.
My Background and Approach
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University with research on attachment patterns and reflective functioning in adults. My dissertation explored how understanding your own and others' mental states protects against rejection sensitivity and relationship anxiety. This research foundation shapes everything I do. I've been working in mental health since 2014 across diverse settings, including community mental health, crisis response, private practice, and medical clinics, with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I'm trained in trauma-focused CBT, Circle of Security, and mentalization-based interventions. My approach is attachment-informed, psychoanalytic, and somatic, always grounded in evidence and tailored to your unique needs. My mission is to help you understand yourself more deeply and create lasting changes that endure long after therapy ends.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to understand themselves more deeply and create meaningful change, no matter where they started. Our struggles aren't fixed; they're learned patterns that can be understood and transformed. This belief comes from both my research on reflective functioning and my personal journey. I'm passionate about the arts and fascinated by the intersection of performance psychology and mental health. I'm deeply committed to affirming and supporting LGBTQ+ clients and those from marginalized communities. I actively participate in efforts for social justice, starting in my own life, where it's important to check my own privilege and beliefs. My background in vocal performance, combined with my clinical training, gives me a unique perspective on supporting the whole person. If you'd like to learn more about how I can help, I'd love to hear from you.
