About My Clients
Clients struggling with anxiety, depression, past traumatic experiences, and relationship stress have found me to be a good fit. I’ve had success helping teens navigate the “work” of adolescence– testing boundaries, exploring identity, and generally driving their caregivers nuts! I’ve also had the privilege of helping parents of young children and teens promote cooperation by building more secure connections.
My Background and Approach
I've worked with youth and their families all over LA for the past 9 years. I am trained in several evidence-based practices, including Seeking Safety, TF-CBT, Positive Parenting Program, Structural Family Therapy, and MAP. I take an eclectic approach to treatment, pulling from many different modalities including CBT, DBT, EFT/attachment-focused therapies, psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing to help my clients self-reflect and expand their skills.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent good in you, and I am skilled at identifying your natural skills, resources, and amazing qualities. I'll hold up a mirror so you can see them too! I tend to examine people and situations from all angles, so I'm pretty good and pointing out a new perspective you might not have considered, or helping you examine a behavior with more compassion for yourself. My skills were forged working in diverse communities, so I operate from a systems/racial justice framework, and am kink-, trans-, LGBTQ-competent/positive. I also speak Spanish.
