About My Clients
I collaborate with clients to address a range of mental health concerns. I specialize in gambling addiction and use a motivational interviewing approach to help clients address these behaviors. In addition, in my work with clients who face body dissatisfaction & disordered eating concerns, I focus on the value of body-positive attitudes.
My Background and Approach
I am an LPC, NCC, and CCGC. In addition to my clinical work, I have over 15 years of experience as a counseling faculty member and have published extensively in the field. I feel honored to work with clients who strive for wellness. My specialties include body dissatisfaction, disordered eating, and gambling addiction. I also work with clients on stress management, values-clarification, relationship concerns, and self-esteem. My approach is collaborative, humanistic, and strengths focused. I tailor my approach to meet client needs. Theoretical approaches include CBT, ACT, humanistic counseling, motivational interviewing, & SFBT. am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. I am also certified in Collegiate Counselor Gambling (CCGC) through the IPGGC. I am trained in The Body Project, which is a program with substantial empirical support to reduce body dissatisfaction & disordered eating among adolescents.
