About My Clients
I have worked with a variety of clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, unresolved childhood issues, relationship and work stressors, parenting struggles, major life transitions, identity issues, and more. Together, we can explore your challenges and work on ways to strengthen your self-awareness, self-compassion, emotional tolerance, and coping skills so that you can more fully experience all the highs and lows of your life with a renewed sense of clarity and strength.
My Background and Approach
My approach is tailored to your specific needs and concerns. I seek to create a therapeutic space that is open, warm, and nurturing. My practice is informed by several therapy models including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness based stress reduction.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that regardless of circumstances, everyone has the ability to find meaning and purpose in their lives and that the therapeutic process has the potential to open up new ways of understanding and growth. While my clinical practice is informed by my training, I also bring my varied life experiences to our therapeutic relationship. I understand the ways that we protect ourselves from pain with avoidant or unhelpful coping strategies, leaving us feeling stuck and unsatisfied with the direction of our lives. I seek to help people feel safe enough to be vulnerable, to take risks, to fully experience the full range of emotions with a renewed sense of purpose and resilience. Ultimately, I believe that being listened to and understood is a powerful catalyst for change.
