About My Clients
I work best with adults who are introspective, motivated, and seeking more than symptom relief. Many of my clients feel chronically anxious, emotionally shut down, or stuck in patterns they don't fully understand even after previous therapy. They are often high functioning on the outside but experience internal distress, reactivity, or a sense of disconnection. My approach is well suited for individuals who are open to deeper, trauma-informed work, including EMDR, who want lasting change.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and EMDR Consultant providing trauma-informed, depth-oriented psychotherapy for adults. My clinical background includes advanced training in psychodynamic therapy and EMDR, with a focus on how early experiences, attachment patterns, and nervous system responses continue to shape emotional functioning, relationships, and behavior. My work is grounded in the understanding that lasting change occurs when underlying patterns are identified and processed, not simply managed or discussed at a cognitive level.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that psychological symptoms develop for understandable reasons and are best approached with curiosity rather than judgment. Emotional and behavioral patterns that cause distress often represent adaptations formed in response to earlier experiences, relationships, or environments. Therapy offers a space to understand these adaptations and to work toward change in a way that respects the individual’s history and internal world. I believe meaningful therapeutic change occurs within the context of a safe, consistent, and attuned relationship. The therapeutic relationship itself is central to healing, providing an experience of being understood and taken seriously. Through this relationship, individuals can explore emotions, memories, and relational patterns that may not have been accessible or safe to examine previously. Depth psychology and EMDR allows lasting change.
