About My Clients
I am passionate in treating issues related to marginalized groups, partially African Americans who are overcoming the stigma regarding seeking professional therapy that is prevalent in the African American community. I understand that you may go to your pastor for counseling, however most pastors are not equipped in addressing mental health issues. I also have a M.A. in Biblical counseling to assist you from a spiritual perspective if needed.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have issues to deal with in our emotional lives. All of us have experienced feelings of inadequacy, anxiety, anger, or depression. However, it is important to understand that what we consider to be our flaws grew out of events that we experienced in childhood that took something from us -love, approval, acceptance. I struggled with depression for most of my childhood. Being raised in a home with a father who struggled with mental health issues and substance abuse was traumatic for me. I had no idea the impact it would have on me as an adult. I began my journey of healing by seeking therapy for myself at an early age. I believe in the transformative process of therapy from my own personal experience. I am now a licensed therapist who assists others in who grew up in families were co-dependency interfered with the formation of a personal healthy self esteem, and healthy interpersonal relationships. My experience has now become my credentials in supporting you!
