About My Clients
I love supporting individuals who struggle with trauma from childhood that can look like unresolved grief, dysfunctional patterns, issues in relationships, attachment disruption, isolation, self-doubt, anxiety and self abandonment in the form of compulsive people pleasing and self-neglect. In addition I work with individuals who have a heightened sensitivity to others and their environment and struggle regulating their own feelings and emotional experience.
My Background and Approach
As a Contemplative Psychotherapist I believe that all humans have inherent wisdom and clarity; and my goal is to support clients in realizing their true nature, and the workablity of their situation by developing more awareness of themselves and finding ways to changing habitual patterns that are perpetuating suffering. I use mindfulness and somatic based interventions to support clients see and feel the connection between body and mind, which leads to higher levels of integration and wellbeing. For trauma work I use EMDR and Brainspotting; and some other somatic based approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that mental health is just a part of our wellbeing, and this is why my approach to clinical work is holistic. I have an understanding of what brings imbalance in our lives and what can help restore balance. Behavioral and mental issues are tied with our physical health, spiritual health and emotional health. I see how all these connect and relate with one another. I believe everyone given the right causes and conditions, can experience wellbeing and balance their own life.
