About My Clients
I meet with clients experiencing a broad range of social and emotional difficulties, both in individual and couples therapy. My areas of experience include: Stress and anxiety due to everyday life, change, systemic oppression, and current global issues; Complex PTSD: physical, emotional, and psychological symptoms and fixed coping strategies resulting from repeated trauma, especially during childhood and adolescence; Relationship, attachment, and intimacy issues; and depression, grief, and loss.
My Background and Approach
Being a therapist, for me, is meeting with another person in the here-and-now—present, grounded, and available. Through genuine curiosity, empathy, and personal responsibility (actively owning one's feelings, thoughts, and actions), we can create the space and relationship where we can experience, assimilate, and learn to relate with life more fully.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My mission as a therapist is to contribute to my community through an empathetic, authentic, and inclusive approach to assist people in moving toward being in touch with their authentic selves, expanding their capacity for love and community, and embracing life as it comes.
