My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D.) graduated from the Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences, an APA-approved program in Puerto Rico. I'm certified in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. I'm trained on the Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and phobias, like social anxiety. I have experienced working in primary care settings, community hospitals and clinics, private practice and in a correctional facility. My main goal as a psychologist is to offer a specialized knowledge and experience in evidence-based psychology providing psychological services using a variety of treatment approaches, depending on client's needs, strengths and necessities. My interventions are focused more on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness and relaxation techniques. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a passion to learn about psychology, healthy lifestyles, different cultures and food. I enjoy the beach and outdoor activities surrounded by nature and wildlife. I practice self care by going for walks, cooking, reading and spending time with loved ones. -I believe in you, in your journey and for me every step matters. -I believe that everyone have the capacity to overcome difficulties with the appropriate support and resources. -I believe in accepting reality, tolerating difficulties, developing healthy boundaries and coping skills in order to grow and move forward. -I believe in selfcare, mindfulness and that everyone is capable of enjoying the present moment.
