About My Clients
If you're feeling overwhelmed by pregnancy, postpartum or the transition into motherhood, you don't have to go through it alone. I help women work through depression, anxiety and life changes in a safe, supportive, space where you can breath, heal, and feel like yourself again.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in the therapeutic relationship that is humanistic, holistic and integrative. I use modalities like Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all people should have access to mental health services regardless of your race, gender, or socioeconomic background. As a black women, mental health can be taboo and not talked about. It was something that didn’t exist. If you are hurting, keep it to yourself or you prayed about it. Through my practice, I will create a safe place for you to build a therapeutic alliance with me, collaborate on goals we should work on to address you concerns, and teach the tools and techniques to improve your wellness. We can work together to create healthy change in your life.
