My Background and Approach
Dr. Joy helps children feel seen and grownups heal. In her practice, she provides parenting support and neurodiversity-affirming neurodevelopmental assessments. She presents on parenting, neurodivergence, and nervous system regulation/polyvagal theory in action. She values integrating both Asian contemplative practices and contemporary psychology into her work and is committed to anti-oppressive practices. She is the author of A Kids Book About Nervous System Regulation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that there unique and remarkable strengths that can only be present when there is neuordivergence. I see so much of the parent support is geared toward parents whose children are neurotypical. I am committed to building resiliency and compassion.
