I am always excited to support queer clients, particularly those pursuing gender affirming care. Not only is the process of coming out and/or transitioning challenging, but also finding a place of belonging within the queer community can be difficult to navigate. I have had clients of all different gender and sexual orientations. I am kink-positive, poly friendly and believe in the pursuit of body liberation for all.

If you are feeling haunted by your trauma history, I look forward to guiding you through the process of creating closure and unburdening the past. It can feel daunting to face your traumatic past, but the initial steps lay the foundation to make it approachable. You will feel lighter and more empowered as you go through the stages of healing.

I have been specializing in eating disorder recovery for the past 8 years, including leading a multidisciplinary team as clinical director at an eating disorder PHP/IOP clinic. I have a lot of respect for the profound ways that eating disorders often help people cope and survive in this world. My goal is to help my clients develop their ability for intuitive eating/movement and rebuild body trust, as well as to uproot fatphobic and diet culture beliefs. I believe full recovery is possible.

I have advanced training in various CBT models, such as Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT) and David Burn's TEAM-CBT. Participating in weekly practice groups for a year at David Burn's Feeling Good Institute deepened my understanding of this evidence-based model. When I use CBT, I tend to deepen the approach by drawing on Schema Therapy, which is an offshoot of CBT that also incorporates mindfulness meditation.

When working with couples and families, I tend to use EFFT as my primary lens. Identifying the dysfunctional relational patterns at play is vital for preventing further damage and getting unstuck from vicious cycles. It's so much easier to see what others could be doing differently, but the only way to be truly empowered is to take accountability for your own part in the relationship dynamics and focus on what you can do differently.

IFS is my favorite model of therapy these days, and I find it to be a more effective and accelerated model of healing than traditional talk therapy methods. Although the experience of turning inward and directly connecting with your internal world can be unfamiliar, it is incredibly valuable and enlightening work. I look forward to helping you take a deeper dive and discover what lies under the surface of your conscious awareness.
