Helping empathetic people build self-esteem also comes intuitively for me as I struggled with feeling self-worth outside of how much I care and provide for others. I have worked with clients find who they truly are, and the immeasurable value of who they are, by separating their sense of self from their ego.

Helping empathetic people let go of anxiety is what comes most intuitively for me. Struggling with overthinking and having catastrophic thoughts, I personally know how never-ending, shameful, and helpless it can feel. I have worked with clients overcome anxiety through helping clients accept what they cannot control and direct their attention towards acceptance and towards what they can control.

I have been co-dependent in more than one romantic and platonic relationship. I understand why it feels needed for a sense of security and the feeling that there is no other option. I have helped empathetic clients regain a sense of security through helping clients build an awareness of how they are meeting security needs, face how the security is limited, and build courage and belief that they can have something even more secure.

I have helped empathetic clients understand how their understanding of events and "characters" in their lives created the world-view that they play out now. I help empathetic people revisit who were helpless in their lives, and what role they believed they needed to have. Through the power of story-telling, I help clients reclaim and revise their narrative so that they see themselves as more of an empowering character.

I have helped empathetic clients step out of the role that they held so long as the kid that had to grow up fast. I help adults become child-like again in a guilt-free manner and help adults re-discover aspects of themselves that have been forgotten and undervalued. I help them integrate these parts back into their current lives.

I help empathetic clients focus on being present in their bodies and environment and create distance from their thoughts and feelings. Many times, empathetic people can feel overwhelmed by the emotions of others or their own emotions. Empathetic people may carry heavy feelings from the past, or anticipate strong feelings in the future. I help empathetic people be present with strong feelings without losing touch with their own essence.
