About My Clients
Some of my areas of experience (but not an exhaustive list!) have been with people struggling with anxiety and depression, young adults, adults, trauma, sexuality-related concerns, grief and loss, self-esteem and self-worth, relationship difficulties, and much more. I look forward to working with you on your therapeutic journey.
My Background and Approach
I use an integrative approach to counseling, which is a wordy way of saying that I incorporate multiple approaches in my work with you, tailored to your specific needs and desires from counseling. I believe that the past and the future can often hold a lot of weight on us in the present moment. Throughout our time together, I will invite you to reflect on how your past experiences and your perceptions of the future are impacting you in the present moment, which might even include how they impact you in the therapy room. There are often unsaid social rules in every area of our lives, and it will be part of my duty to bring light to and dismantle these social rules to create as comfortable of a therapeutic space as possible to explore your concerns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I primarily use emotion-focused therapy in combination with psychodynamic, gestalt, and existential therapy. I believe that this provides a well-rounded exploration of your concerns and how they relate to your past, present, and future. By working together to increase self-knowledge and awareness, we will work towards collaboratively finding the best solutions for you. I am additionally an active member in the LGBTQ+ community, with past experience working as a case manager specifically in support of the LGBTQ+ community
