About My Clients
Do you feel like you've experienced hurdle after hurdle and find your hope that things can change is dwindling? I understand it takes courage to say "Despite all odds, I'd still like to try." I usually assist those with stress managment concerns, family difficulties, and different diagnoses ranging from depression to schizophrenia. Concerns can range from short-term to chronic conditions.
My Background and Approach
"A good plan today is better than a perfect plan tomorrow." I've always loved this quote from my father because it's so relatable. It can be frustrating to desire change but not know how to obtain it. The goal is to empower each individual to use their unique strengths to go ahead and start making changes. I believe each person can learn to use therapeutic techniques to better cope with stressors. I generally use CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), and mindfulness- based interventions while also using a strengths-based perspective. I'm thankful to have the ability to practice my passion- helping individuals overcome obstacles to their most idealized life. Therapy ought to be something you look forward to- not a chore! My goal for you is to feel relaxed and hopeful that being in therapy can help you learn how to create change.
