To put it briefly, I have been formally trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and have worked with clients for about a year who have suffered from PTSD or trauma related issues. Trauma, whether complex or concrete, can be detrimental to a person's development and mind. I aim to help people heal from this to the best my approach has to offer.

Nearly every client I have encountered faces some type of relationship problem in their life. Much of this comes from the kind of relationships they have had since early childhood and the kinds of attachment they have formed with their caregivers. By helping clients see the patterns of how they relate to others they can build the self-awareness needed to begin change.

Anxiety stands out as being the type of issue that I have seen the most results and success with in my practice. Anxiety does not just affect the mind but it also affects the body's functioning and health as well. By using cognitive behavioral techniques, I have been able to aid people to recover enthusiastically from what makes them feel nervous, anxious or on edge.

While in graduate school, this was the approach that was taught the most in the master's program. Furthermore, I am very much attracted to the framework of simply using empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard towards clients that will lead to their healing. I believe the quality of the therapeutic relationship to be paramount to a person's healing and reaching of their goals. This aligns most closely with my favorite but less trained-in Psychodynamic Therapy approach.

This approach is one where I was formally trained in while working fulltime in a community mental health outpatient center. I have been trained to provide this treatment approach to every client I see when I have the chance to build enough rapport with them. By helping the clients examine and challenge their thought processes, they can begin to change.

This is another treatment approach that I received formal training in. Since then, I have received continuing education on how to use the client's unconscious resources while in trance to help them reach their desired outcomes through the means of suggestions.

During graduate school, this was the approach most heavily taught in the master's program. I fully resonate with the principle of the therapeutic relationship being paramount to a person's healing and reaching of their goals in treatment. This is also foundational to my favorite yet so far less trained approach of Psychodynamic Therapy.
