About My Clients
I specialize in working with people who want to reclaim their lives from panic, anxiety and trauma. I excel at helping people with racing thoughts, intense fear, intrusive thoughts, unshakable feelings of dread, muscle tension, hyperventilating and more learn how to calm down their bodies and minds. My goal is to start by teaching you how to master your triggers, find some safety and peace, and then if you're interested: finding freedom, joy, peace and thriving through healing trauma.
My Background and Approach
My approach to treating panic, anxiety, and trauma comes from years of supervised training and real experience in my own therapy and in practice sessions with other therapists. I only use techniques I have personally tested or experience myself and know are effective. I start by getting to know you. I ask questions, help you feel seen, and reflect back what I hear until you feel confident that I truly understand what you are trying to say. From there, we work on calming your nervous system and handling triggers. I use mindfulness and somatic resourcing, which means paying close attention to your thoughts, feelings, and body and learning skills that can directly settle your system. We often bypass talking in favor of doing and experiencing calm and peace. Once you feel steady and capable of regulating yourself, our work together expands based on what you want. That might mean healing long-term trauma, changing old patterns, or building a life where you can truly thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In no particular order, here are some things I believe to be true about therapy and life: Panic, anxiety, and trauma are not personal failures. They are the body’s way of saying “I’m overwhelmed and I don’t feel safe.” Trauma is not the event. Trauma is what happens inside the body afterward. That’s why it can be healed. Talking alone doesn’t fix everything. The body keeps score because the body has a memory of its own. You have to work with both. The nervous system isn’t your enemy. It’s trying to protect you. Once you learn how it works, everything gets easier. Regulation comes before insight. Calm comes before clarity. Safety comes before change. This is not optional. It’s how humans are wired. Healing is not about becoming a different person. It’s about becoming someone who no longer feels afraid of their own inner world. Humor is medicine. When shame loosens, people laugh. When fear settles, people get playful. That’s a sign of healing, not disrespect.
