About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. I help people become more psychologically flexible, which means helping them find ways to cope with change, handle tough situations, and alter behaviors while staying in contact with the present moment. I use a person-specific and compassion focused approach in my practice to help you thrive and become the person you want to be. I have specialized experience and training with Veteran's and their families.
My Background and Approach
I am a son, father, brother, friend, therapist, musician, veteran, and most importantly, a person. I believe in making a connection first, then our journey together can really begin. My therapeutic approach will be evidence-based and rooted in science. I am always learning new skills and techniques and have specialized training and experience in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy. I always take a Person-Specific approach towards therapy and utilize methods that work for you, and not the other way around. I want our time together to be meaningful and impactful - a safe space for you to openly share your experiences, to feel connected, to feel validated, and to grow. My goal is simple – to help you become more psychologically flexible so that you can move towards a better version of the life that you are living.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the embodied experience of life and that all beings should be treated with respect and to change our relationship with suffering. I approach all of my relationships from an open-hearted perspective, with a willingness to learn and appreciate both the similarities and differences that we all have towards each other. I believe in compassion, empathy, and being authentic. I also believe that when we come together as people, we can truly achieve great things together. I view health from a holistic point-of-view and study all things that can help lead to a better life experience through physical, mental, or spiritual health.
