About My Clients
As an Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapist I would like to offer you another way to understand yourself and facilitate lasting change that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. My approach to treatment is client-centered and individualized according to your unique experience and needs. Through understanding and working with our inner system and parts we can transform ourselves from the inside out rather than relieving the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
As a Korean American and Southern California native, I bring a unique perspective and understanding to my work as a licensed clinical social worker. I received my B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine, and my M.S.W. degree from California State University, Long Beach. With over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked extensively with children, teens, families, and adults in community-based nonprofit agencies and outpatient mental health settings. My practice currently focuses on serving adults through individual online telehealth therapy services. My approach to therapy is grounded in the principles of IFS, which helps clients identify, connect to, and work with or heal the parts of themselves that may be stuck in old patterns or negative beliefs from a place of compassion and curiosity.
