About My Clients
I work with adults who feel weighed down by depression, anxiety, PTSD, or alcohol and tobacco use—or often a mix of these. My clients are typically people who want to regain control, whether that’s breaking free from unhelpful drinking patterns, quieting a racing mind, processing past trauma, or simply getting a good night’s rest. They might feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start, but they’re ready to try something that works.
My Background and Approach
I have a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Georgia and completed my clinical internship at Brown University and Providence VA. I help adults overcome challenges like addiction, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and sleep issues. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, with a strong focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)—a method proven to help you identify and shift the thoughts and behaviors keeping you stuck. I tailor every session to your needs, blending practical tools (like managing triggers or improving sleep habits) with a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore what’s on your mind. My goal? To empower you with strategies that have the strongest scientific evidence to help you feel better, so you can feel more like yourself again.
