Affirming therapy for queer professionals and other driven adults navigating anxiety, relationships, burnout, and life changes.

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Cincinnati, OH

About My Clients

Are you successful on paper but anxious, exhausted, or disconnected underneath? Are you used to being the dependable one while your own needs go unspoken? I work especially well with queer professionals and other driven adults navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship strain, identity concerns, grief, or major change. Therapy can offer a place to exhale, understand the patterns keeping you stuck, and build a life that feels more authentic, connected, and sustainable.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed clinical counselor with more than a decade of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, burnout, relationship strain, identity concerns, grief, trauma, and major life changes. My doctoral training in counselor education and supervision helps me notice patterns, ask useful questions, and explain things in clear, practical ways. I also have advanced training in trauma-focused care and experience in crisis work, family services, private practice, and university teaching. This background helps me understand both what you are feeling and the relationships, identities, expectations, and systems surrounding it. Together, we may use practical tools to calm anxiety, set boundaries, improve communication, understand recurring patterns, and respond differently to stress. My approach is direct, affirming, and collaborative, with room for both honest reflection and meaningful action.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a queer counselor who believes people deserve care that does not ask them to minimize their identities, relationships, values, or lived experiences. I support LGBTQ+ affirmation, racial and social justice, reproductive and bodily autonomy, disability inclusion, and the dignity of people across rural, suburban, and urban communities. I believe mental health concerns make more sense when we consider family, culture, faith, work, community, history, and systems—not only symptoms. My experience as a counselor educator continues to shape my commitment to accessible learning, ethical practice, and supporting those who care for others. I remain connected to the counseling profession through ACA, SAIGE, and AMCD—organizations that reflect my commitment to ethical, affirming, and culturally responsive care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our four cats, seeking out a great roller coaster, and following my curiosity by learning something new.
