About My Clients
My clients come to me when they find themselves stuck. Maybe they have tried therapy before, or maybe it is their first time, but they have often struggled to find the unconditional acceptance they are seeking. They are often looking to improve the quality of familial, romantic, friendship, or professional relationships. My clients often work in creative fields or have some deeper personal creative practice. They are curious about life's deeper mysteries and long to grow into all they can be.
My Background and Approach
Though I am from the Bay Area, I spent over a decade in New England as a performing artist and bodyworker. My background as a musician and writer gives me a unique perspective on working with creatively oriented clients, though I see people from all kinds of backgrounds. People tend to come see me when they feel stuck, either at a crossroads or at the beginning of a healing journey. I work with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning, complex trauma and more. I am genuinely interested in understanding the unique details and textures of your experience, in accepting of where you are coming from, while being committed to your growth. In the same session I may laugh with you at the absurdities of life, or follow you to the depths of your grief. You can depend on me to be honest, sensitive, and present.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is through relationship that we build capacity to weather the ups and downs of life. I aim to create a container where the parts of yourself that have so far lived in darkness can be seen and understood, one that honors both our felt sense and the stories we tell.
