About My Clients
You may look successful on the outside while feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure of what comes next. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, burnout, and questions of meaning and purpose. I have a particular interest in helping men deepen emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and create more fulfilling lives. Services are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in curiosity. I offer traditional office sessions, telehealth, and nature-based walk-and-talk therapy, creating space for reflection, growth, and meaningful change. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I help clients explore the patterns, relationships, values, and unmet needs that may be contributing to distress. My work draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, Nonviolent Communication, emotionally focused approaches, and systems thinking. Together, we identify strengths, develop new skills, and build a life that feels more aligned with what matters most to you. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) practicing under the direction of Lauren Taylor, LCSW, and the supervision of Rikki McCoy, LCSW. I hold a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health from the University of Georgia. I am also a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and offer premarital counseling for couples.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in relationship, with ourselves, with others, and with the natural world. My work is guided by the belief that people thrive when their needs for connection, belonging, meaning, autonomy, and purpose are supported. Outside of therapy, I enjoy hiking, gardening, mushroom identification, cycling, and spending time outdoors. Nature has been an important teacher in my own life, and I often draw inspiration from the resilience, interconnectedness, and growth found in the natural world. I welcome people from diverse backgrounds, identities, beliefs, and life experiences. My goal is not to tell clients how they should live, but to help them better understand themselves, clarify their values, and make choices that align with the life they want to create. I believe therapy can be a place not only for healing symptoms, but for discovering a deeper sense of connection, authenticity, and wholeness.
