My Background and Approach
As a specialist, I focus my expertise on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Social Anxiety, and Phobias. This specialization sets me apart from generalist therapists who might treat a broad range of disorders but may not possess the same depth of knowledge and expertise in any one area. Think of it like the distinction between a general practitioner and an orthopedic specialist in medicine. While a general practitioner is skilled in addressing a wide array of health concerns, an orthopedic specialist has dedicated years to mastering the complexities of the musculoskeletal system. Similarly, my specialization ensures that you receive care that is not just competent, but exceptionally attuned to the nuances of your specific condition.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Clients would tell you that I'm a pretty relaxed guy. I meet my clients wherever they are in their own personal journey, and we go from there. I'm non-judgemental and open to however you see yourself and the world. I try to use humor as much as possible as I have found it to be the antithesis of anxiety. If we can find a way to laugh while fighting this battle we are already winning.
