About My Clients

I work with adults and couples from diverse backgrounds, with a special passion for supporting members of the Latine community. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or the emotional impact of immigration and cultural adjustment. I also provide immigration psychological evaluations for legal cases such as VAWA petitions, U-Visa applications, and extreme hardship waivers. Supervision for LISW candidates in South Carolina is also available.

My Background and Approach

I earned my Master’s degree from Fordham University in New York and have more than 25 years of experience working in mental health across nonprofit organizations, schools, and private practice. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker – Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in multiple states. My work is trauma-informed and culturally responsive. I often use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical strategies for lasting change. In addition to therapy, I conduct trauma-informed immigration psychological evaluations that may support legal cases such as VAWA petitions, U-Visa applications, and extreme hardship waivers. Services are provided through secure telehealth. Services are provided through secure telehealth for individuals located in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that healing and growth happen through connection, understanding, and respect for each person’s lived experience. My work is grounded in cultural humility and a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families from diverse communities. I am especially passionate about supporting immigrant communities and individuals navigating the challenges of cultural adjustment, identity, and belonging. I also affirm and support people who identify as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, AAPI, and other historically marginalized communities. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered as they move toward greater well-being.
