About My Clients
My clients are done apologizing for who they are, done with band-aid solutions that just address symptoms and ready to do the work that will help them finally heal and build a life of joy, choice, and power confident in their identity and ready to create healthy relationships that can transform not just their own lives but their community and the world around them.
My Background and Approach
I am ordained in the Episcopal church (an progressive and LGBTQIA+ affirming denomination) and have focused my work on accompanying LGBTQIA+ folks as they bring their unique gifts to create radically open, inclusive, and joy filled spiritual lives and communites. I expanded my work to therapy because so few seemed to take seriously the whole human experience, our mental, emotional, and spiritual well being all connected in one. For the last 10 years I have supported people from across the religious spectrum (Christian, Deconstructing, Jewish, Pagan, spiritual but not religious) as they built meaningful spiritual lives and today I bring a specialty in EMDR and Jungian Psychology to that journey of transformation and healing. Whether you are deconstructing religious trauma, healing complex childhood PTSD, discerning gender, sexuality, or other identity issues or just ready to empower yourself to create a more just world depth work with EMDR is a powerful way to leverage your own healing
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all have the innate power to heal built into our nervous system and that we are more powerful than the worst experience that have impacted us. I don't believe we are defined by what has happened to us, but by what we alchemize it into. Through my own therapy, I have learned to tend to my wounds, bring healing and love to my parts, and claim my own power and authority. I am passionate about modern healing modalities such as EMDR and their ability to transform trauma, and I acknowledge the deep ancient wisdom of indigenous healing practices still found within our spiritual and religious traditions. I believe that together these two streams of human knowledge can empower you for your own healing. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and my counseling practice is affirming and intentionally anti-racist. If you want to learn more checkout my website or drop me an email, let's chat.
