OCD can be torture and completely take over your life. I specialize in Exposure Response Prevention or ERP to help you identify your obsessions, expose to your fear and anxiety, and eliminate time consuming and painful rituals.
I will help you come to realize that your thoughts have a significant impact on your feelings and behavior. I will help you identify negative thoughts and thinking patterns and help you reframe them into positive ones.
I will help you to identify your obsessions and compulsions. We will then challenge the validity of your obsessions and develop a hierarchy of obsessions from least anxiety provoking to the most anxiety provoking. I will then gradually expose you to your obsessions reducing your fear and anxiety which will significantly reduce compulsions.
I use a mindfulness approach which helps you escape your anxiety and negative thoughts and place you in the moment. I will help you regulate your emotions which will help you improve your mood and coping skills.
