As a child of Taiwanese immigrant parents, I recognize that values, patterns, and wounds are passed generation to generation. As a marriage and family therapist, I understand an individual in the context of their cultural upbringing, family of origin, and various influencing environments. Together, we can work toward breaking unhealthy cycles and healing intergenerational wounds.

Stress is a normal part of life, so you tell yourself you "should" be able to manage. However, everyday stressors can oftentimes feel overwhelming and uncontrollable. Together, we can release the "shoulds" and work on developing tools to manage stress in a healthy way.

I utilize CBT to help my clients gain insight and move toward change, feeling better as a result. In my experience, CBT has helped a diverse range of clients become empowered toward making healthy changes in their lives. Together, we can address unwanted patterns of thinking and adopt more helpful thought patterns.

I became a therapist to help make culturally sensitive mental health care more accessible to minority communities. In my experience working with low income, ethnic minority families, I observed that clients made the most therapeutic progress when feeling safe and affirmed. My approach is anti-oppressive and inclusive.
