About My Clients
I have a very diverse back due to working years at non-profits. I have been able to work with people different social economic statuses, cultures, ages, identities. I most enjoy working with individuals who want to make changes in the way they do things, whether changing substance use, emotional regulation, routines, unhealthy attachments, or communication.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and have a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Texas State University and have been a practicing therapist since June 2018. I have worked with a wide variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, trauma, regulation, substance abuse, and communication. I have worked primarily at agencies and have helped individuals and families in crisis as well as providing traditional individual therapy. I have worked with children (8+) to adults of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. I am also able to provide therapy in Spanish. My theoretical orientation is an eclectic approach of Person-Centered theory, Existential Theory, Gestalt theory, and I have been supervised in the use of Animal-Assisted Counseling and Sand tray techniques. I strive to help people be the best version of themselves, regain attunement with themselves and others, and increase awareness around their passions in life.
