About My Clients
With a background in working with both adults and children/teens, I am able to have a deep understanding of the various challenges that arise throughout the lifespan. No matter if I am working with an adult or a child, I enjoy helping clients deepen their understanding of their presenting problem and feel more confident in their ability to navigate uncertainty, daily challenges, and their emotions.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and earned my Masters of Social Welfare from UCLA and bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Texas at Austin. Informed by my background in community mental health and in private practice, I believe in treating the whole person. I take a collaborative, trauma-informed approach, and above all, I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. In my work with adults, teens, and children, I utilize my training and certifications in CBT, ERP, CPT, TF-CBT, and AEDP based on the needs of my client. I specialize in trauma (complex/developmental and single event), anxiety and panic, OCD and Health Anxiety, grief and loss, identity exploration, and life transitions. Therapy with me should feel warm and comfortable, but is always also backed by evidence to help you reach your goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach therapy from a LGBTQIA+ affirming, culturally sensitive, and relational perspective. I take an attachment-based perspective with all clients in understanding how early relationships impact the way we see ourselves, others, and the world. While I believe in helping clients enhance their coping, I also believe in the importance of making space to identify, feel, and process emotions.
