About My Clients
I am excited to work with those who experience anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, personality disorders, and various life stressors. I have worked extensively with individuals affected by the justice systems. I collaborate in therapy with people of all different walks of life, races, gender identities, incarcerated individuals, victims, students, professionals and more. I’m proud to give a safe place to all humans.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker with eight years of experience in coaching, advocacy, therapy, and group counseling. My expertise lies in treating anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, personality disorders, and individuals facing various life stressors. I primarily utilize cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic therapy and solutions-focused techniques. I am certified in psychological first aid, forensic social work, and financial social work. I also have 9 years of military experience. Your sessions with me will offer an opportunity to think out loud, receive feedback, educational insights, encouragement, and accountability! Most importantly, I prioritize providing an unbiased, non-judgmental, PRIVATE space to get IT off your chest. You will leave each session with relieved, with dash of self discovery, and a plan.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am happy to work with all humans. I don’t believe any characteristics or background make one person better or worst than another. I am passionate about equity, justness and kindness for everyone. I make it a point to support efforts decreasing the oppression of young people, less than affluent communities, people of color- specifically black American's and other systematically underserved individuals.
