About My Clients
I am currently accepting clients at my practice at Cardinal Point Counseling. I see individuals and provide services in both English and Spanish. As a therapist, my goal is to make you feel heard and comfortable as we work toward creating the best version of you we can imagine. Please feel free to reach out and see if I might be a good fit for your needs. I have extensive experience with substance abuse and crisis treatment, severe mental illness, have worked in hospitals and emergency rooms.
My Background and Approach
I have a MSW from the University of Southern California, my LSW, and will soon have my LISW. I use CBT, DBT, Judith Herman's Trauma Theory, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and Problem Focused Therapy most often as my approaches to treatment. I have special training in DBT therapy and EMDR. I am always trying to learn new techniques and approaches to stay up to date with the latest mental health and wellness treatment. If there is a specific mode of treatment you would like to try, I am open to receiving training and credentialing in new areas to better serve you. My bottom line is -- I'm here to serve you. I will do my best to make sure you feel comfortable, that your treatment is efficient and high quality, and that we work together to make the best clinical choices for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, I am also a human. I believe that all humans are important, valuable, and worthy. I have treated patients from all different social backgrounds, sexual identities, religions, etc. and will never turn you away. I will accept you for who you are and treat you the way you deserve to be treated.
