About My Clients
Sessions are laid-back and conversational. I embrace dialogue around topics often considered “taboo” in society, including race, gender, sexuality, religion, spirituality, suicidality, and complex trauma. I often support high achievers who are interested in moving beyond thoughts and into deeper awareness of body sensations and lived experience. I don’t offer advice or quick fixes.
My Background and Approach
I hold a BS in Psychology from Texas Christian University and an MS in Counseling with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from Villanova University. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education fromThe George Washington University. I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I see therapy through an anti-oppressive, systems-based lens, which shapes my commitment to decolonizing and destigmatizing mental health within marginalized communities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the identities you hold shape how you experience and navigate the world. Rooted in a holistic, trauma-informed framework that honors the mind, body, spirit, and environment, I explore early relational patterns, uncover the impact of trauma, and address relational fractures created by both internal experiences and oppressive external systems.
