About My Clients
I predominately work with clients who are undergoing the difficult, and simultaneously empowering, process of addressing the impact of growing up in a dysfunctional family system. On-going depression, anxiety, trauma responses, low self-esteem, addiction, and eating disorders may have been companions of yours for many years. I help clients understand the patterns and narratives that have held them captive and focus on constructing new ones that align with their authentic self.
My Background and Approach
I am trained to work with individuals experiencing a spectrum of mental health concerns and incorporate various mindfulness, somatic, experiential, narrative, and compassion-based elements with clients. My approach is integrative and always tailored to your specific needs and goals. More than anything, establishing an environment built on the foundation of safety and acceptance is paramount in my work with clients. It is my sincere desire to create a space where you can experience and integrate the "parts" of you that haven't felt safe to show themselves. It's through cultivating this space for you to show up and be accepted for who you are, right now, that transformation can take place. I would be honored to walk beside you, wherever you are at in your journey. My pre-set rate is $100/session. There is some sliding-scale available but may be limited at any given time.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I originally obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and spent 2.5 years living in Spain teaching English to elementary school students. I spent some time living in the PNW before answering my calling as a therapist. I am an eternal seeker, and I appreciate the beauty found in the written word, nature, all forms of art, and self-expression. I believe we are all inherently good, worthy, and valuable because we are all human beings. I am inclusive, advocate for social justice, and am LGBTQIA+-affirming. I appreciate and recognize the unique identities, experiences, social constructs, and systems that form the lens we each view our personal reality from. In my spare time, I love to write poetry, watch movies, walk around in nature, spend time relaxing in my hammock, do karaoke, and go see live music.
