About My Clients
As a therapist, I focus on providing a safe, supportive, and collaborative space to explore the thoughts, feelings, and patterns that may need more attention. With that in mind, I welcome all individuals that need a validating and empathetic sounding board for their process. Although I have worked with a variety of people, a majority of my experience is in a younger adult age range, discussing topics like stress and burnout, grief, depression, relationship hardships, and work-life balance.
My Background and Approach
I am a LPC-Associate. My approach relies most heavily on creating a person-centered space while incorporating aspects of attachment theory and psychotherapy. This first builds a foundation of trust and validation between us, then adds some low-stress techniques to challenge patterns and boxes we have created to understand the world around us. I believe with a safe and collaborative space and self-exploration, we can create the shift we want to see within ourselves.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In the ethics I wholeheartedly agreed to work under when entering this field, I was told that I would need to be an advocate. And as that is a part of my own values, I bring that into my practice. I pride myself on being an ally for the LGBTQ community, social justice movements of our time, and the women's rights issues still being fought today.
