About My Clients
Many of my clients are navigating identity exploration, family challenges, discrimination, anxiety, or past trauma. They may struggle with feelings of isolation, shame, or the pressure to conform, which can lead to anxiety, depression, or challenges in relationships. Building trust is at the heart of my approach. I understand the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals and nonmonogamous individuals face and strive to create a therapeutic environment where you feel seen, heard, and respected.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Social Worker and an Aurora University graduate with a Master's degree in Social Work. Over the past year, I have worked at Partners in Pride Wellness Center and SAVI Therapy Group, providing therapy to and assessing clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma experiences, and LGBTQ+/gender identity issues. I have also interned at the Alive Center in Naperville, providing support and programming for teenagers in an after-school setting. In my practice, I incorporate DBT, EMDR, ACT, CBT, and the Gottman method to support my clients in managing distress, improving self-esteem and relationships, and navigating life's transitions. I also provide support for individuals dealing with trauma, helping them heal from past experiences that may be impacting their present.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community, sex-positive, nonmonogamy-affirming, and neurodiversity-affirming.
